The Three Spa Treatments You Need In Your Life

Who doesn’t love a spa day?  Everyone should try to carve out some “me” time!  These treatments have been working wonders for me for years and are refreshing for both the body and the mind.

The demands of life can really take a toll on the body.  I started making massage therapy a part of my wellness routine almost seven years ago and the results have changed my life.  Massage therapy is one of the world’s oldest healing traditions.  It reduces stress and muscle tension through manual manipulation of muscle and soft tissue through a variety of techniques while creating a feeling of deep relaxation.

Facials

Treating yourself to a professional facial is a great way to help you feel like your most confident and radiant self.  The many benefits include wrinkle prevention, better blood circulation, skin cell renewal, and so much more.  Regular facials will keep your skin looking younger and healthier through the year.

I highly recommend finding a good esthetician in your area.  They can help you find out more about your skin type, what treatments are right for you, and even recommend products for you to integrate into your daily skincare routine.

Salt Therapy and Meditation

This is my absolute favorite treatment.  I go to salt therapy sessions at Salt Works Spa in Bel Air, Maryland.  The treatment is entirely natural and unbelievably relaxing. The floor and walls of the room are covered by 250+ million year old Himalayan salt that draws out toxins, improves skin, and facilitates overall well-being.  I have never breathed better.  You lay back, relax, and listen to a guided meditation track of your choice.  You can even bring friends!

I’ve been coming here intermittently for two years and I always leave feeling unbelievably relaxed.  If you are lucky enough to have a salt spa near you, you have to try this out!
