The Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte You Need To Try

If you're trying not to drop $6 on a PSL from Starbucks, or you want to be able to customize your latte, this is the perfect recipe for you! Use pumpkin pie spice mix, or create your own by mixing cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves. This drink is fall in a cup, and so easy to make on a budget!

Ingredients:

•2 tbsp Pumpkin Purée (can be found in most grocery stores, i’ve also used pumpkin pie filling)

•1/2 tbsp Pumpkin pie spice or spice mixture of your choice

• 1 tbsp vanilla extract

• 2 shots of Espresso, or strongly brewed coffee

• 2 cups milk of your choice

• Whipped cream (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix together milk of your choice and pumpkin purée in a pot or saucepan, and heat over medium heat for about a minute or until heated through. Stir continuously through the process.

  2. Remove from heat and add spices, vanilla, and any sweetener you prefer. Use a frother or blender for 30 seconds to create a foamy mixture.

  3. Pour your espresso or brewed coffee into your favorite mug and top with the foamy milk.

  4. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon if desired for the full fall effect, and serve. Enjoy!

This recipe can be made in advance and stored for up to three days in the fridge, so make a batch ahead of time and have convenient Pumpkin Spice lattes all week!
