Outfits Inspired by Iconic Movies of the Decades

Ferris Bueller, Heather Chandler, Cher Horowitz.

Badasses? Yes. Style icons? Absolutely.

I’ve chosen eight of my favorite cult classic movies, taking place from 1940 through 1990, and recreated the styles from each into looks that are wearable today. My friends and I imagined what we’d wear if we were among the characters on the big screen and brought our inspiration to life in the photos below. I think it’s safe to say our inner Cher came out to play.

What I’d Wear If I were in: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Ok, maybe Ferris wasn’t exactly wearing a leopard vest, but the bold pattern was certainly something worth imitating.
