Amber Venz Box was born and raised in Dallas and founded rewardStyle, an affiliate marketing program, in 2011.
Her rewardStyle journey started with Venz Box’s personal fashion blog, Venzedits. Amber featured brands on her blog and began to notice the significant amount of traffic her posts drove to those sites. Although her blog was bringing brands a lot of business, Amber was making no profit from the sales made. This motivated her to start a unique company that helps popular online creators monetize their sites and connect with brands. This company came to be known as rewardStyle.

Through the years, rewardStyle has generated $1 billion in sales for its 4,000 retail partners and 500,000 brands in 80 different countries. Some popular featured brands include Neiman Marcus, Revolve and Net-a-Porter. The platform receives around 250,000 applicants, but only accepts approximately 30,000 of the most influential fashion, beauty, and lifestyle bloggers.
After rewardStyle started to take off, Venz Box launched the shopping tool app, Liketoknow.it, in 2014. Liketoknow.it is similar to Instagram, where bloggers that are a part of the rewardStyle team can post their outfits and links. People can follow their favorite influencers on this app and like or comment on pictures, very much like Instagram. The creators can provide their followers with easy-to-access links to every piece of their outfit on the app. When a user purchases something with the bloggers’ posted links, the influencer gets 20% commission, and rewardStyle takes a percentage.
Amber Venz Box was included in the Forbes’ 30 under 30 list in 2017 and was announced as Glamour’s “Woman of the Year” in 2018. She is a successful businesswoman that many young women strive to be like, including me, and she is an extremely strong role model for anyone looking to start their entrepreneurial journey. Her story is empowering and inspires all women to pursue their dreams. Amber Venz Box reminds us that we can accomplish anything that we put our minds to.
