What’s in My Weekend Bag for a Summer Beach Trip

Hello summer lovers,

I’m back again this week to walk you through what’s in my bag for a weekend getaway. The bag I use most right now is an iridescent Stoney Clover Lane tote. It was limited-edition bag from a summer or two ago--- and I still adore it. I recommend an iridescent tote for a weekend getaway, since it offers a bright pop and can complement many outfits.

Let me begin what’s actually IN the bag with my go-to sunglasses. These sunnies are from Amazon, and only $17. Although they are quite large on my small face frame, I love them. They are so inexpensive, chic and a cute staple for my weekend getaway bag.

Next, while I’m probably sporting a cute ‘fit for the day out, I always have a loungewear set in my bag. I know what you’re probably thinking – “why does this girl carry a loungewear set everywhere?” My answer is as follows: you’ll never know when you’ll need it. A bunch of “what-if” scenarios tend to make their way in and out of my mind. My questions are usually answered with a loungewear set. “What will I wear if I run out of gas, and need to walk all the way to a gas station?” My favorite loungewear company is Z Supply. A cute set like this usually is my go-to. I have this exact set in blue and it is to DIE for. So incredibly cozy.

I usually have mascara on hand, for when my lashes die down a bit throughout the day. My favorite right now is the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Original Washable Bold Eye Mascara in black. The best thing about it is that it’s only $8.95. Such a bang for your buck and it gives your lashes the “wow” factor.

A must-have for me is a few hair ties. My all-time favorite hair tie is the Kitsch hair coil (preferably in pink). I know they look like anti-mosquito bracelets, or a telephone cord, however, they truly work like none other. They make your hair completely creaseless and dent-free.

I also usually have a bikini thrown in the bag, again, because you never know where you’ll end up. I love the mix & match collection from ASOS for bikinis right now. They’re pretty affordable and can complement any shape or size.

I never go anywhere without some form of lip balm or lip gloss. My favorite right now is the Balm Dotcom from Glossier. I have the birthday cake, coconut and mint ones. They leave your lips with a perfect shimmer and a beautiful shine to add to your smile.

Lastly, I always carry a moisturizer. Right now, I use the Neutrogena Oil-free moisturizer for sensitive skin.  The non-comedogenic moisturizer never leaves my skin oily and never clogs my pores.

Aside from the already mentioned that I have in my bag, I also usually carry an extra pair of contact lenses (contact wearers know the struggle of a long day out in your lenses), my Hydroflask, a phone charger, lifesavers (in the wintergreen flavor, obviously) and other miscellaneous items that don’t really serve a purpose-- aside from the fact it satisfies my overpacking always prepared side of myself.

That’s all for now! Hope you enjoy your weekend getaway, whenever you get the chance.

X,

Jolie
