Your Guide to Summer Shoes

When it comes to summer shoes, many people immediately think of sandals. And, as much as I love sandals, they can get pretty boring if you’re pairing them with every outfit. Here’s a guide to a variety of shoes, for every situation.

For the beach: Birkenstocks

I love Birkenstocks for the beach. They are so comfortable and easy to wear. Honestly, I wear Birkenstocks every time I’m running out of the house during the summer. And, they have so many new styles that are so much chicer than the classic brown leather you’re probably picturing. They have rubber sandals that are only $45 and great for the pool or beach, and even platform sandals that are perfect for grabbing your morning iced coffee. Seriously, Birkenstocks are the best.

For work: Gucci Princetown Leather Slipper

Some people are starting to go back into the office this summer, and a great business casual shoe are these mules from Gucci. They are classic and timeless, and are still casual while looking put-together. Plus, this sandy tan color is gorgeous for the summer months, as well as into the fall.

For street style fans: Off-White Arrow Low-Top Neon Canvas Sneakers

These white canvas sneakers come with accent colors of blue, pink, and neon yellow, and are super cute. The Off-White signature tag brings an edgy look to an otherwise classic canvas sneaker. These are perfect to pair with jean shorts, or can bring a “cool factor” to a simple mini dress.

For the casual sneaker lovers: Veja Sneakers

Veja sneakers are amazing for everyday wear. They are sustainably made using fair trade with raw and organic materials. Not to mention, they are super comfortable. I love to pair them with jeans, dresses, and even sweats.

For going out to dinner or drinks (outdoors, of course): Gucci Rubber Slide Sandals

These sandals are really different and unique, and on the cheaper side for Gucci. They are rubber slide sandals, but with a block heel. They come in all different colors, and are super comfortable.

For the closed-toe fans: Soludos Platform Espadrilles

These platform espadrilles come in leather, suede, or canvas, and are great for those days when your pedicure needs a refresh. They look really great with jeans or white jeans, and the leather version is a great mix of city and beach styles.
