Dreaming of Lisbon

It goes without saying that COVID-19 has affected practically every part of our lives, and one hit particularly hard is our ability to travel. Travel bans and stay at home orders mean those spring and summer trips you’ve been dreaming about for months are, sadly, cancelled. While this is necessary to protect the general health, it can still be disappointing sitting at home thinking that somewhere there’s a beach and you’re not on it. One thing keeping my spirits up is planning the trips I’d like to take once it’s safe to do so. Indulge your travel bug with some of my favorite moments from my weekend trip to Lisbon last year.

Embaixada, pictured above, is located in Ribeiro da Cunha Palace in Lisbon’s Príncipe Real neighborhood. An array of national brands and local artisans focused on Portuguese design, craftsmanship, fashion, and culture, combined with the palace’s architectural heritage makes this shopping gallery a must see!

Day Two: Pena Palace

A forty minute drive from Lisbon to Sintra will bring you to this Romanticist castle in the clouds. If you have a day free you need to make this trip!
