Glowy Fall Makeup Using Cream Products

Just because summer is over doesn’t mean you need to lose your summer glow!

The best way to continue to look fresh and glowy into the colder months is by using cream makeup products. Start with your normal glowy skincare routine (if you need inspiration, check out these influencers’ favorite end-of-summer skincare secrets), and, rather than mattifying that glowing skin with powder products, use liquid and cream makeup products to keep that glow.

The secret to achieving a glowy summer-skin look in the fall is to actually let your skin shine through. So, when wanting to look fresh and dewy, I skip foundation. If you’re not comfortable with that, you could start with a light tinted moisturizer. I think one of the hallmarks of summer skin is the simplicity, so I try to use as few products as possible. After my skincare routine, I go straight in with concealer. I put it mainly on the bottom half of my face, covering my acne and spots, and then just a little dab wherever else I need it. I try to avoid my nose and cheeks so that I can let my few leftover summer freckles shine through.

Then, I go in with my favorite cream makeup sticks from Milk Makeup. I use the matte bronzer stick in “Baked,” the lips and cheek stick in “Werk,” and the highlighter stick in “Lit.” I use a combination of my fingers and a beauty sponge to blend these out and make it look as natural as possible.

Then, I go in very sparingly with a small bit of translucent setting powder, so I don’t mattify my whole face. I set the bronzing stick with powder bronzer, and use that same powder bronzer in my crease. I gel my eyebrows into place, smudge out some brown eyeliner, and apply mascara. Lastly, I use the same Milk Makeup lip and cheek stick on my lips, and cover that in the Too Faced Lip Injection so my lips look plump and glossy, adding to the overall dewy look.
