How To Make Your Summer Last Forever

The summer may be drawing to an end, but that doesn’t mean that this season’s unique memories have to fade away with the weather. If you’re planning a weekend getaway or road trip, there’s one thing you can’t forget to ensure that your memories last forever.

The essential item that I am certain to pack whenever I go on a road trip is my Instax Mini Instant Film camera. The beauty of using this modern version of the Polaroid camera is the immediate satisfaction of holding the printed picture, as it is developed on the spot. There is a bit of suspense of the unknown when shooting with this camera.  Did the shot work? Does everyone like how they look? I also find the camera to be a cute and compact accessory to take along places.

Making the moment last forever is easy with the Instax camera. You get one shot to get the picture (or more depending on how many insta films you have or are willing to use). The pictures are instantaneous and meaningful. You decide to take that picture to remember the moment and will be able to always look back on it. The final image may not be perfect, but the imperfection of a polaroid is what makes it special .  This is a very different experience than taking hundreds of pictures on your iPhone to get one good shot.

I have had my camera for two years now, and I still love to look back at my original pictures and relive the excitement of that captured moment. The images themselves have become a part of my life. I use them to decorate my bedroom, so I can constantly smile and see my friends on the wall.

I highly recommend purchasing this camera or one similar to keep your summers close to you. You’ll never regret taking that one picture with your two besties. Take it from someone who dreads scrolling through hundreds of images on their iPhone camera roll just to find one.  A small Instax Instant Film print is immediately visible in my collection.

I suggest writing the date on your pictures to keep them in order. Invest in a cute photo album, or create a photo wall to display your collection. Be creative and let your polaroids reflect your personal style. However you choose to keep your pictures is up to you, but it’s great to just take a step back from time to remember that moment and how you felt in it. You won’t regret it.
